My background
Bringing home a new baby is a life-changing event. There is nothing quite like it. As a Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula, I have worked with over 30 sets of twins and 50 singletons, providing the best care possible for over 10 years. Sometimes I can't believe that number myself! My work has taken me to the most amazing places. I have worked in Aspen, New York City, Hollywood, Denver, San Francisco, and beyond. Its such a joy to watch parents form loving attachments to their little ones while we take on the world together.
As much as I love travel, my heart will always reside in Humboldt County. Its a quiet cozy life here nestled in the redwoods. I was married to my best friend in 2018 in a eucalyptus grove right on Humboldt Bay. He holds down the fort while I am gone and does an excellent job. My dog, Dougal, and I run on the beach or Hike through the forest several times a week. Its the perfect place to reset and recharge so I can be at my best when working. My clients here in Humboldt hold a special place in my heart. I'm proud to work with Nueva Vida Doula to provide the best care possible for our local community.
In 2016 I took the steps to become a trained Newborn Care Specialist through Multiple Blessings (now Gentle Ventures), and later Newborn Care Solutions. My education has continued with every training or book I can get my hands on. Although experience has shaped a lot of my hands on attachment approach of childrearing, I'm personally dedicated to keeping myself informed and educated to stay on top of new information to keep my clients well informed to provide the best outcomes.

My passion for newborn care started very young. At 5 my mother would find me watching TLC's show "Its A Baby!" that followed moms from pregnancy to postpartum. I was fascinated by it all. I took playtime with my babies very seriously. At 10 years old my neighbor gave birth to a sweet baby named Liam. I was over every single day doing what I could to "help" her recover and thrive as a new mom. My love for babies and growing families took off from there and through trainings and career changes, helping families has always been my main goal.
When I am not working, you can find me elbow deep in the garden. I joke that everything in my life revolves around growing things. Families and flowers. Work life balance is important to me. I have found that grounding myself in nature is my favorite way to move through life and find balance between traveling for work and being home. We bought a house in 2021 with an empty lot of a yard. Just bare soil and a few weeds. Through the years I have poured my soul into making it a magical garden during my free time.
